1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the BoardBoss Android application published by Shiptosee LLC. It explains how the app handles information when you measure surfaces, organize jobs, calculate material totals, and export results.
The separate Shiptosee website Privacy Policy applies if you visit shiptosee.com, email us, or use Shiptosee's sourcing services.
2. Data handled by the app
BoardBoss lets you enter job names, optional surface labels, wall and ceiling dimensions, vaulted-ceiling dimensions, and waste settings. The app uses this information on your device to calculate surface area and estimated drywall-sheet quantities.
BoardBoss does not require or create a user account. The app does not request your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, payment information, or advertising identifier.
3. Local storage and deletion
Jobs and measurements are saved in BoardBoss's private application storage on your Android device so that they remain available between app sessions. BoardBoss disables Android cloud backup for its application data.
You can remove individual jobs within the app. Uninstalling BoardBoss removes its private application data through Android's normal uninstall process. Files that you previously exported are separate files and remain wherever you saved or shared them until you delete them there.
4. Exports and user-directed sharing
BoardBoss can create XLSX and CSV files containing the job information and measurements you chose to enter. An export leaves the app only when you initiate an action such as saving the file, opening it in Google Sheets, or choosing a destination in Android's share interface.
Android and the destination app or storage provider handle the file after you choose where to send it. Their privacy policies and your settings govern that copy. Shiptosee LLC does not receive exported files through BoardBoss.
5. Advertising, analytics, and third-party services
BoardBoss contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, social-login SDK, or cloud-storage SDK. The app does not perform cross-app or cross-site tracking.
BoardBoss can ask Android to open Google Sheets if it is installed. That request and any later interaction with Google Sheets occur only after your export action and are governed by Google and your device settings.
6. App permissions and security
BoardBoss does not request sensitive runtime permissions and does not declare internet access. It uses Android's protected file-sharing mechanism to give an app you select temporary access to an exported file.
Local information is protected by Android's application sandbox and the security controls on your device. No device or storage system can promise perfect security, so keep your device updated and use an appropriate screen lock.
7. Children
BoardBoss is a construction estimating utility intended for adults and trade professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and Shiptosee LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if BoardBoss's features or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version and effective date at this URL. If a future app version begins collecting or transmitting data, we will update the policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure before that version is released.
