Shiptosee

Privacy at a glance

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to shiptosee.com, sourcing requests, Match Summaries, customer communications, invoices, and delivered sourcing results. Shiptosee LLC is responsible for the information practices described here.

This policy does not govern a third-party seller, marketplace, payment provider, or linked website. Their own privacy notices apply when you interact with them.

2. Information we collect

CategoryExamples
Contact informationName, email address, and an optional phone number.
Request informationWanted product or project brief, existing material lists, budget, delivery or pickup area, deadline, specifications, must-haves, dealbreakers, useful links, and other details you choose to provide.
Service recordsRequest reference, timestamps, consent record, messages, Match Summaries, accepted scope, fee, invoice and payment status, delivery record, corrections, and support history.
Technical and security informationRequest identifiers and security signals processed by our hosting and bot-protection providers, which can include IP address, browser or device information, user-agent, TLS fingerprint, site origin, and related logs.
Payment-related informationInvoice contact details, amount, payment method category, transaction status, and processor reference. Complete card and bank credentials are submitted directly to the payment provider, not to Shiptosee.

Our bounty database intentionally does not add your IP address to the stored sourcing-request record. Hosting and security providers may still process technical information needed to operate and protect the site.

Please leave sensitive information out. Do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, bank credentials, Social Security numbers, government IDs, medical records, or other information that is unnecessary for sourcing.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • receive, validate, research, screen, and respond to requests;
  • prepare Match Summaries, BOMs, buying plans, invoices, and sourcing results;
  • communicate about your request by email and, if you provide a number, by phone or text;
  • record acceptance, deliver work, provide support, and resolve corrections or disputes;
  • protect the site, prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and duplicate submissions;
  • maintain business, tax, accounting, and legal records; and
  • improve our workflow using aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

We do not use a phone number submitted with a request for unrelated marketing without separate consent. Message and data rates may apply if we exchange texts about your request.

4. When we disclose information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients only as reasonably necessary:

  • Hosting, database, and security providers, including Cloudflare, which operates the site infrastructure, request database, and Turnstile bot protection.
  • Communications and operational providers that help us send email, maintain internal request records, organize research, or provide customer support.
  • Banking and payment providers that create invoices, process a chosen payment method, prevent fraud, and keep transaction records.
  • Professional advisers and authorities when reasonably needed for accounting, legal advice, insurance, compliance, protection of rights and safety, or a valid legal request.
  • A successor organization in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

We generally send seller information to you—not your personal information to a seller. If obtaining a quote or confirming availability reasonably requires limited request details, we may share the product requirements, quantity, and general destination. We will not give a seller your direct contact information without your direction or another lawful reason.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the site currently has no advertising pixels or behavioral analytics.

5. Invoices and payments

Shiptosee may use Mercury for banking and invoicing and may enable Stripe or another provider for card or wallet payments. When you choose a payment method, the provider processes the payment information under its own notice. See the Mercury Privacy Policy and, when Stripe is offered, the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Shiptosee receives the information needed to reconcile the invoice—such as payer name, amount, date, payment method category, status, and transaction reference—but does not receive or store complete card or bank-account credentials submitted directly to those providers.

6. Automated and AI-assisted research tools

We may use third-party automated and AI-assisted research or productivity providers to organize request details, compare options, extract product information, or help prepare a sourcing result. This means relevant portions of your request content may be transmitted to and processed by those providers under their own service and privacy terms.

We aim to send only the information reasonably needed for the task, remove direct identifiers when practical, and avoid sending sensitive information. Do not include payment credentials or other sensitive personal information in a request. A person reviews sourcing recommendations before they are delivered to you.

We do not make eligibility, credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similarly significant automated decisions about customers.

7. Cookies, Turnstile, and tracking signals

The site currently uses no advertising cookies or behavioral analytics. It uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated abuse. Cloudflare explains that Turnstile processes security signals such as IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent, sitekey, and associated origin for bot detection and improvement. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Because Shiptosee does not currently perform cross-site behavioral tracking, browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals do not change the site’s behavior. If our tracking practices materially change, we will update this policy and provide choices required by law.

8. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to work on requests, communicate with you, maintain acceptance and delivery evidence, prevent fraud or duplicate work, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Different records have different business and legal needs, so they are not all kept for the same period.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or place it beyond routine use where immediate deletion from backups is impractical. A deletion request may not cover information we must retain for an active engagement, transaction record, fraud prevention, legal claim, or other lawful obligation.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed for the information we handle, including HTTPS, limited request fields, bot protection, authenticated internal synchronization, and restricted operational access. No online system can promise perfect security.

If you believe information was submitted in error or the service may have been compromised, contact us promptly.

10. Your choices and privacy requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your request, or object to a use that depends on your consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Applicable law may provide additional rights, and some lawful retention exceptions may apply.

You may stop transactional texts by asking us to use email instead. You may stop marketing messages, if any are separately offered in the future, using the unsubscribe method in that message. Essential service, legal, invoice, or security messages may still be sent when needed.

11. Children

Shiptosee is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy prospectively as the service or law changes. We will post the revised version and effective date here. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or seek consent when required.
